Wash away from the water
To wash yourself or your dishes, carry water 200 feet away from streams or lakes and use small amounts of biodegradable soap.
Two hundred feet is about seventy adult steps. Both our bottle and our shower carry the water to you, so you never need to stand in the stream.
The bottle on the trail
- Fill it from your drinking supply or from filtered water.
- Use it at the cathole, then pack out the few sheets you dried with.
- It rinses muddy hands and a camp spoon as well.
- Stand it in the sun for an hour if you want the chill off.

Where it falls short
- Sun heating is slow. On a cool day, add a pot of warm water from the stove.
- The bag has a soft base and can tip while you fill it. Lean it against a wheel or a rock.
- 12 litres is a short shower for one or a rinse for two. It is not a home shower.
- Even biodegradable soap must stay 200 feet from streams and lakes.
